Hello parents and campers!

Bouy Oh Bouy, we have been having a blast at Aquacamps! On Day 1 we met some new friends and spent time exploring the galleries as well playing in the Aquarium’s Clownfish Cove. We also explored the wet lab where campers explored differences in marine habitats and got up close and personal with some marine friends (urchin, sea star, sand dollars, and crabs). Day 1 was also packed full of fun games. Ask your camper how a sea star eats!

On Day 2 we met our Stellar Sealion boys Amak and Kenai and observed other marine mammals. We had a close look at some frogs (check out the photos!) and had a snack with Helen the dolphin. Be sure to ask your camper why her front flippers are so small! We also learned about the importance of recycling and made a recycling craft. Right before lunch we had a very special tour of the Jelly Fish Hall Way in which the biologists raise baby jellies. After lunch we went for our forest walk and played camouflage. The sea lion training session was much needed at the end of a busy day!

Remember to bring boots/shoes you can get wet and muddy for our beach walk tomorrow!
