Ashley and Gloria's Camps: Day 4!
Hello Aquacampers and parents!
We had a "turtle-y” awesome day at camp today! Here are some of the things we did:
- Explored the Treasures of BC Coast gallery where we saw sea cucumbers, sea urchins, sturgeons and sea stars!
- We watched the 4-D movie called "Splash and Bubbles" where we learned about being ocean friends forever!
- We made a dolphin mobile craft - they all looked "FIN-tastic!"
- We dissected a squid and learned all about the animal's anatomy - ask your camper if their squid was a girl or a boy?
- We played "Guess the Animal" - all campers were shown two animal skull props and were told to draw whatever animal they thought the skull belonged to
- We went on a forest walk and played "Hug a Tree" while exploring nature
We're looking forward to another exciting day tomorrow! Campers can look forward to going to the waterpark in the afternoon. Please have your camper wear their swimsuit and water shoes in the morning when they get dropped off at camp. Also, it may be a good idea for campers to bring a towel in their backpack as we are planning on having a "SPLASH" at the waterpark tomorrow! Lastly, tomorrow is costume day!! Campers can wear their favourite costume/outfit to camp however it is not mandatory.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for a very exciting last day of camp!
