Hi AquaCampers and Parents!

We had a “fin-tastic” first two day at AquaCamps! Here are some of the things we did:

• Watched a 4D movie and experienced splashes and bubbles
• Did a herring dissection and identified their body parts
• Looked at a turtle shell and pacific white-sided dolphin skull 
• Played “turtle hurdles” where we pretended to be baby turtles
• Watched a sea otter feed and learned about these important keystone species
• Learned about what it means to be a scientist by designing an experiment with sea urchins
• Made my own aquarium craft and anglerfish craft
• Went into the wet lab where we got to touch sea cucumbers, sea stars, sea urchins, sea anemones, and sand dollars
• Watched a sea lion show

Reminder that tomorrow is water park day! The campers can come with their swim suits underneath their camp shirts, as well as a towel and water shoes! Looking forward to another exciting day!
