Shelly's Camp Day 4
Hey everyone!
Our day was super packed with activities including another 4D movie, this time we saw Splashes and Bubbles! Our camp got an exclusive tour of our behind-the-scenes shark penthouse area where we were visited by Schoona the green sea turtle up close. We also had wet lab time and touched invertebrates like sea anemones, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and sea stars while learning about how these creatures eat and behave.
After this, we took a bus over to the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre for a tour and saw so many adorable baby seals who are being rehabilitated and cared for until they gain enough weight and hunting skills to be released back into the wild. Ask your camper what their favourite seals name was! To prevent cross-contamination between the MMR wild seals and the ones at the aquarium, make sure your camper takes a shower and washes all the clothes they were wearing today before returning to camp tomorrow.
Tomorrow is an optional costume day! Dress up as whatever you choose to celebrate the end of an awesome week.
