Hi campers & parents!
We had a CRAB-ulous day at camp!
What did we do yesterday?
- In the morning, we went o the Amazon gallery where we saw different snakes, birds and butterflies!
- Next, we woke up with some stretching during animal yoga
- After snack, we went to the Jelly Hallway where baby jellies grow into adulthood
- Next, we learned how deep the sea is at the family program
- We visited VORTEX to learn about plastic pollution in our oceans
- Before, lunch we worked on our logbooks and drew our favourite jellies from the Jelly Hallway
- To finish off the day, we went to the Meet a Penguin program where we saw Sechelt and learned all about other African Penguins
What did we do today?
- In the morning, we went to the Treasures of BC Coast gallery and saw all different types of fish, urchins and even anemones!
- We went to the 4-D movie called "Splash and Bubbles" where we learned to be ocean friends forever
- After snack, we played some different parachute games
- Then, we read a couple different stories before completing a sea otter craft - they all looked "otter-ly PAW-some!"
- To finish off the day, we went on a forest walk before finishing our crab paper plate crabs
Questions to ask your AquaCampers
- What types of birds did we see on the forest walk?
- How does an African penguin waddle?
- What colour were the jellies in the Jelly Hall?
We had an INK-credible day at camp today! Just a reminder that tomorrow is water-park day. Campers should come dressed in their water-park attire underneath their clothing as well as pack a water bottle, sunscreen and a towel in their backpack. Just a reminder that tomorrow is costume day! Campers can choose to wear their favorite costume/outfit tomorrow to camp over top of their water-park attire however it is not mandatory. :)
