Maddy and Shelly's Camp Day 1
Hi everyone!
We had a fin-tactic first day of camp which included:
-Camp Intro where we got to meet our camp principals and sing the Ocean Song
-Gallery time where we explored some of the habitats and exhibits at the aquarium
- A game of Survival where we played as either herbivores, omnivores, or carnivores to compete for food and water
-Plankton Tow where we gathered some new plankton friends from the ocean and looked at them under microscopes
-Sea Lion training where we saw our male stellar sea lions Amak and Kenai work with their trainers to earn fish
Things you can ask your camper:
- what does an omnivore need to survive?
- what is something that eats plankton?
- what is one behaviour that we teach our sea lions and why?
