Today was our marine mammal-themed day at the Aquarium! We started the day by exploring the Amazon Gallery, where campers met many species of butterflies (sometimes VERY up close) and were challenged to find the two sloths. We took a hike into the Stanley Park forest to explore the forest during a game called Camouflage. We wrapped up the morning with the walrus show, where we met two three-year old walruses. After a game-filled lunch, we crafted our own paper plate walruses, including all of the features we learned about during the walrus show. Finally, we played a camp-wide game of Survival, during which we learned about food chains and the roles of herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores. Some of us were a bit tired after such an active day, so we had fun designing imaginary creatures and coloring in our logbooks. Looking forward to another fun-filled day tomorrow!
