Hi Otter party parents!!!
We had a super splashy day today!
We visited the Amazon Rainforest and saw our monkeys, sloths, caiman and butterflies! We even had a few butterflies land on some of us.
After a quick snack we took a tour of the behind the scenes fish lab and learned about juvenile fish.
Then we went back down to the beach and did a plankton tow, and learned about how zooplankton and phytoplankton affect our food chain.
We then boarded a bus and went to Crab Park where we had our yummy lunches and played on the playground for a bit.
Finally, we finished off our day by touring the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, and seeing the SUPER CUTE harbor seals awaiting rehabilitation.
Some questions to ask your camper:
How do phytoplankton and zooplankton affect our food chains? What would happen without them?
How do the volunteers at the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre feed the seals?
Remember to have your camper take a shower and wash their clothes tonight. Tomorrow is also costume day, so if your camper would like to dress up, please do! Have a fintastic day!
