Hi campers & parents!

Today was our first day of camp and we enjoyed meeting you all!

What did we do today?

• We explored our Amazon gallery where we got to see sloths, butterflies, caimans and birds!
• Next, we worked on our logbooks - all campers will be taking these home at the end of the week
• After, we played some active running games such as "Ship to Shore" and "Screaming Seagulls"
• Before lunch, we went to the Walrus Training Program where we got to see walruses and fur seals perform different behaviors and learned lots of cool facts about them
• In the afternoon, we made paper plate walruses - they all looked "whaley" awesome!
• To finish off the day, we went on a forest walk before coming back to enjoy a story before pickup

Questions to ask your AquaCampers

1. What was your favorite animal in the Amazon gallery?
2. What kind of behaviors did you see the walruses and fur seals perform at the training program? (Did you see them wave, roll over, spin, etc.)

Campers can look forward to going on a beach walk tomorrow.  Just a reminder that all campers should come dressed in waterproof shoes that they can get dirty/sandy on the beach!
