Hey Beluga squad and parents!

We had our first day of camp today!

What did we do today:

• We started our day with a camp intro at the sea lion habitat!
• We explored our outdoor habitats and got to see the seals and female sea lions get their morning training routines. 
• We did a community contract to ensure everyone has fun!
• After snack we went down to the beach to catch some plankton and analyzed it under a microscope. We found some skeleton shrimp!
• After lunch we conducted a herring dissection and learned what the swim bladder looks like. 
• We concluded our day by watching a sea lion program at Stellar’s Bay.

• How can the lack of plankton affect a food chain
