Hi campers & parents!
HOLY MACKEREL! What a fin-filled day!
What did we do today?
- We explored the different marine mammals that we have at the aquarium and learned about why the aquarium houses rescue animals. Allie's camp played in Clownfish Cove and rescued our own animals!
- Next, we enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of our Jelly Hallway, where the campers saw many growing Jellies
- After stretching our brains in the Jelly Hallway, we stretch our bodies in some Animal Yoga!
- Before lunch, the pressure increased and the temperature dropped when we played the "Adaptation Game" and pretended to be fish in the deep ocean.
- In the afternoon, we dissected a herring and learned all about its anatomy
- To finish off the day, we enjoyed a Sea Lion Show. All campers had a SPLASH and some campers got splashed!
Questions to ask your AquaCampers
- What happened to some of our marine mammals at the aquarium?
- Was your herring a boy or a girl?
- Show me your favourite animal yoga move!
Tomorrow we are looking forward to our beach walk scheduled in the afternoon! Please have your camper wearing/bring shoes that they can get wet! We will not be going into the water but the beach can get pretty mucky.
- Allie :)
