Hey Aqua Campers and parents!

We had a blast today at the first day of camp!

What did we do today:

• We had our camp intro at Stellar’s Bay!
• We walked around the various marine mammal habitats and learned about our new seal Jessica!
• After snack we dissected a herring and looked at its insides, especially at its swim bladder. 
• We made an aquarium out of recycled plastics for our craft. 
• After lunch we went to the wetlab and touched and learned about animals without backbones. 

Questions you can ask your Camper:

• What type of camouflage did the fish and the seals have?
• What did the fish feel like? Which part of the fish was the coolest to see?

Remember it’s waterpark day tomorrow!:)
