Hello Aquacampers and parents!
The last two days have been so busy and have been a total splash!
Here is what we did on Tuesday:
-First, we explored the Galleries. Gloria's camp discovered the fish of the BC coast and the creatures of the Tropics! Allie's camp had a fun time pretending to be marine mammal rescuers in Clownfish Cove
-Next we dove head first into the wet lab where we learned about different habitats around Stanley Park and touched some animals. Ask your camper which animals they touched!
-Before lunch we had some quiet time doing a craft.
-After lunch, we went on a forest walk where we played "Camouflage", "Hug a Tree", and "Flood!"
Here is what we did on Wednesday:
-Just as the last two days, we started our day with Gallery exploration. After Gloria's camper's learned about ocean plastics and Jelly fish it was their turn to play in Clownfish Cove. Allie's camper's jumped into the frog gallery!
-Following gallery exploration, we took a tour of our Jelly Hallway, where the aquarium raises Jellys for science and display! Ask your camper what a baby jelly is called when it is stuck to a rock!
-Next we headed down to the beach. Campers enjoyed turning over rocks to discover crabs!
-After lunch we played "Hang Fish" and watched a puppet show.
-Then we got creative and made our own aquariums!
-Right before sign-out we learned how a dolphin communicates and we looked and felt a dolphin skull!
See you all tomorrow!
-Gloria and Allie
