Ashley and Caitlin's Camps: Day 1 Recap!
Hi campers & parents!
Today was our first day of a camp and we enjoyed meeting you all!
What did we do today?
- After going over camp expectations, we explored the Marine Mammal Deck where we got to see different animals such as sea otters, sea lions, penguins and a Pacific White-Sided Dolphin!
- Next, we came up with our camp names...Ashley's campers are called the DANCING DOLPHINS and Caitlin's campers are called the DAZZLING DOLPHINS!
- After, we made some paper plate walrus crafts - they all looked "FIN-tastic!"
- Before lunch, we had a leader led puppet show where we got to learn about mammals and other ocean creatures
- In the afternoon, we dissected a herring fish and learned all about its anatomy
- To finish off the day, we watched the sea lion program and learned all about them
