Hey Campers and Parents!
Today was a squidtastic day at Aquacamps!
What we did today:
- Explored the amazon gallery and saw tropical animals such as sloths, butterflies, and the anaconda
- Played survival and learned about the food chain and carnivores, omnivore, and herbivores
- Looked at a giant squid beak
- Learned about the turtle life cycle through a game “Turtle hurdles”
- Did a squid dissection and found parts including the brain, beak, and heart(s).
Things to ask your camper:
-What are some hardships that turtles face?
-What are the chromatophores on the squid for?
-How many hearts does a squid have?
We’re otterly excited for tomorrow!!!
