This program incorporates learning about ocean animals through our educators, artifacts and live animals with learning about some of the impacts ocean animals face. Impacts that are caused by humans. Students will break into small groups to explore artifacts and live inter-tidal animals from our west-coast environment making connections between our individual actions and the health of our ocean globally. At stations we will discuss impacts such as pollution, mal-fishing and plastics. In conclusion, students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained to brainstorm solutions to real life ocean challenges.
