Sep 20, 2019  11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Location:  'Na Aksa Gyilak'yoo School

This program explores Canada’s North with food as an overarching theme. During the program, we will explore feeding strategies used by animals living on land and in the ocean as well as some aspects of life for people living in Canada’s North. Our stations include looking at animals that are scavengers, hunters, filter feeders and animals that use tools. In addition, we will bring a few of our most hardy intertidal animals from BC’s coast (the same types of animals live in the Arctic): sea stars, large crab, sea urchin and sea anemone. Students have the opportunity to touch our most hardy live animals and all of our artifacts.
