About the Event

Facts about ocean plastics learned during a voyage from Hawaii to Vancouver.

Sponsored by the Port of Vancouver, we were honored to have the eXXpedition crew, led by award-winning ocean advocate Emily Penn, share what they have learned about ocean plastics during their voyage from Hawaii to Vancouver through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch!  Ocean Wise's Dr. Peter Ross explained why he partnered with eXXpedition to study the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

eXXpedition

eXXpedition is a series of all women voyages to make the unseen seen, from the toxins in our bodies to the plastics in our seas. Each voyage is a citizen science mission, collecting data and water samples for plastic pollution research projects. Find out more about eXXpedition here
