Paddling For A Cleaner Ocean with Passage Adventures
May 1, 2018 19:00 - 21:00
Location: Vancouver Aquarium
Cost: Free

Join us to hear about the journey of Mathilde Gordon and Lucy Graham, two paddlers kayaking from Juneau, Alaska to Vancouver Island, Canada. Their plan: to experience new places, take on the elements, connect with nature, challenge ourselves and have fun. They are using the three-month-long paddle to raise awareness of marine debris issues, fundraise for those fighting for ocean protection and conservation, and inspire others. Both of them have been living single-use plastic free since the beginning of 2016, and they’ll talk about taking the Be Plastic Wise pledge to the next level by paddling the Inside Passage without use of any single-use plastics.
For more about Mathilde and Lucy, check out their website Passage Adventures and see an article about them in Vancouver Is Awesome!
