Join us on this fun evening honoring educators who make a difference in the region!
Ocean Wise appreciates everything the teachers and educators in our region do to inspire the next generation of students. We want to show our love of teachers with a special night just for you! This event is FREE to all educators, principals, teacher candidates and non-formal educators! Enjoy a cash bar, giveaways and discounts of field trips!
Who? For all educators, administrators and support staff (Age 19+ only)
Price: Free, but registration is full. However, you can put yourself on the waitlist here.
Location: The Vancouver Aquarium
Accessibility: ASL Interpreter, wheelchair accessible and gender neutral washroom available
There are Many Exciting Things are Happening at Teacher Appreciation Night!!
These include:
• 10% off at the Gift Shop
The Gift Shop will be open until 9pm, and everything will 10% off for educators!
• Bennett Bursary
If you teach in an inner-city school, you can apply for a bursary to allow your class to visit the Aquarium!
• Educator Memberships
Ocean Wise Education is pleased to offer all attendees at the Teacher Appreciation evening a special promotion For this night only, we are offering a 10% discount on Vancouver Aquarium Memberships. This special Educator’s Membership offer has a unique added benefit – priority booking for Ocean Wise Education programs. This benefit will ensure that you get early notification of upcoming educational programs, so you can book engaging ocean education programs for your students.
• Traditional Welcome
At 7.30pm, Elder Latash Maurice Nahanee from the Squamish Nation will be presenting a Traditional Welcome.
• TIG Microgrants
Apply for a TIG Microgrant for a class or community project!
• Ocean School Virtual Reality
Experience a virtual reality dive!
• Live Dive
At 7pm Live It Earth will livestreaming a dive in one of our underwater habitats, which will be shown outside the Aquarium entrance!

Registration for the Teacher Appreciation Night is full, and there is a growing waitlist! Therefore, if you can no longer make it, please cancel your registration so another educator can take your spot! You can do this by:
