The last year and a half has been a challenge for all of us. Our lives were turned upside down, regular life things became non-existent (hugs and dinner parties) and things we never gave any thought to became completely normal (plexy-glass and face masks).

18 months later, I still haven’t shaken anyone’s hand, barely hugged anyone tightly or travelled further than my local region.

However, we are now starting to see the end is in sight. As vaccine is rolled out more readily and more of us become protected, there is a vision and a hope of what is next. As I contemplate what that means for me, I realize this vision might look very different for someone else. This freedom to get back to “normal” might pose some questions, some thoughts, even some anxieties.

Our old normal was completely uprooted and moving forward is going to take some time.

Everyone has had a different experience. Everyone learned different lessons and everyone came to conclusions about what was ultimately important to them.

This art exhibition is a representation of 10 people’s COVID experience. I wanted to highlight and normalize their hopes and fears and inspire you to both put this exhausting time behind us, but take the most beautiful aspects with you as the world opens back up.

Patience. Time. Beauty. Resiliency. Connection. Hugs. Nature. Self Care. Relationships and the realization of What’s Truly Important. These are their stories.
