My name is Ainslie and my favourite outdoor place is Hardy Island, because I used to have a cabin there and I have lots of good memories looking at different types of marine life there.

Hi, I'm Anna and I really love going to Salt Spring Island every summer. It has some of the best swimming and sun set spots ever,  and I really love the small towns and sailing to nearby islands with my friends. 

One of my favourite places to experience nature on the West Coast is definitely in Tofino and Ucluelet. I went surfing for the first time at Chesterman Beach this past summer, and all of Tofino's beaches have gorgeous sunset views, wildlife, and surrounding ecology. The area also has so many beautiful coastal rainforest trails for hiking!

I first went to Cates Park when I was a baby, and it’s been my go-to beach ever since. Every summer I go swimming there, and more recently I started snorkeling and paddleboarding. There is a lot of wildlife and it is just a generally beautiful place.

This is a place that me and my dad love taking trips to and it allows just to be us. I love the hot weather and the awesome memories we have made there

Hi, I'm Aya and I love going to Lynn Valley because it has really cool creeks to swim in! It has great hiking trails and lots of places to explore in the forest. 

I love the Ocean, it's also warm there.

I have chosen Ingonish on Cape Breton Island because I am from Cape Breton- Unama’ki . Ingonish is apart of the Cape Breton Highlands along the beautiful Cabot Trail. 
From the beaches, hiking trails, mountains, and more, Ingonish was my first real connection to oceans and the beauty the areas around me. It is a place that always reminds me how important it is to do our part to protect our earth. 

One of my favourite places to visit is Tofino! I really enjoy spending time at the beach because it's a lot of fun and the atmosphere is awesome. The sunsets are super pretty and the sounds of the waves are also very relaxing!

Hey I'm Casey, and my one of the most important places to me is Burnaby Mountain. I grew up on this mountain and the forests were pretty much my playground:) Its a part of who I am which is why it's so important to me

Hi I'm Caio! This is the place where I saw the ocean for the first time. I was a four month-old baby, and it was the beginning of many adventures and memories. It's the place where I grew up and where I learned to love nature and the ocean.

I love this spot because there is a nice view of the water and it is surrounded by many small, friendly shops. There is also a bakery inside of the Lonsdale market which is very delicious :)

I lived around there for part of my childhood, would basically live on the beach everyday! One of my first memories of the ocean!

False Creek brings me lots of fun memories of when I was younger and it's a place I always enjoy walking by. I hope to someday clean its waters as it has quite yucky water.

Hi, I am Christina! This is a beautiful park that I visit often, with trails for hiking and lots of viewpoints. Perfect place for watching sunrise or sunset.  

this is my happy spot I go to every summer since its just a short drive compared other counties. Penticton is like my get away from the city if that make sense :)

My favourite place near the water is definitely Jericho Beach. They have a sail centre that I used to go to all the time to go sailing. I really love volunteering here and teaching kids how to sail, and I love being able to hop into a 420 sailboat with new sailors and show them how to sail super fast. Maybe one day once everyone is fully vaccinated I'll be able to go back and teach some of you how to sail.

I came here when I was 9 years old on vacation and it was a lot of fun. I have never felt more connected to nature, specifically the ocean as I went snorkelling and swam with fish there.  

I went snorkeling in the ocean and I saw lots of fish and it was a very surreal experience. I was very close to the fishes.

ive went swimming here with my dog and family and ive always had a good experience and its also very refreshing!  

Whytecliff Park is a special location to me as I spent a great amount of time there as a child. One special memory I have is going snorkelling and learning about different sea creatures.

Growing up, I always went to deep cove and it is still one of my favourite places to go, especially in the summer!!

I decided to choose Squamish, BC, because it is the place where I usually go camping in the summers. I always enjoy exploring the lakes and mountains in the surrounding area. As well as making memories while out in nature. 

I love the Kitsilano Beach so much! It gives me such a peaceful and relaxing feeling especially the golden hues of the sand and when the waves crash onto the shoreline. I used to run a lot here!

My friends and I spent a day here one summer and it was beautiful

Ever since I was little, my family has owned a house in Harrison Hot Springs that lies directly on the lake. While there, the world seems so much more peaceful and quiet. During the day, I love paddle boarding down the lake and exploring the wildlife right outside my door. But, perhaps the best part about Harrison is the nights when I can step outside and gaze at the clear, starry sky, surrounded by the peaceful and beautiful sound of silence. 

I used to come here with friends and family. It's a nice place :)

It's a beautiful spot along the water, and I love walking along the Vancouver Seawall. There is lots of amazing places, parks, restaurants and more to bike to or walk to. 

I have a cottage there and I visit there many times a year. it is my favorite place on this planet!

A few years ago I visited the Eastern provinces, which is when I got to go to the beaches around Lake Ontario. The vast expanse of water was really pretty and seeing the sunset reflect in it was scenic. 

Smugglers Cove is special to me because this place is the best area to watch sunsets.  I also love snorkelling here and seeing all the local sea life.  

The beach here is very nice and I used to visit it often when I stayed at my house in Sechelt with my family in the summer. I also went camping here a few times with my friends and it's a great place to relax and have fun.

One of my favourite places to visit is the Lynn Headwaters. There are lots of places to cliff jump and many different hikes.

I hiked the westcoast trail with my Dad a couple of summers ago. It was an incredible experience. I've never felt more connected to the ocean and the environments surrounding it. 

Hi, I'm Maxine and one of my favourite places is Lighthouse Park. I went hiking there with my family last summer and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and how close we could get to the water. It has an amazing view as well as many different paths to take.

As a rower, I spend upwards of 20 hours a week on the Fraser River. It's a place where I can get out, be active, and relax in nature. (Or, at times maybe the opposite relax. There are sturgeons the size of monster truck tires swimming around sometimes. A little terrifying!)

Secret Beach in Gibsons is one of my favourite places. It's very peaceful and sheltered, mostly only locals know about it and visit it so it's usually quiet. Some of my family lives in Gibsons so I have lots of great memories there with them. I love swimming there and finding rope swings people have made in the trees :)

I'm Michelle and one of my favourite outdoor places is Deep Cove! The mountains and water create this super west coast vibe that I love boating through.  When the clouds drop and you can see them in the trees on the mountains is one of my favourite views and it feels like you're in a film where David Attenborough is just going to appear and start talking.

Here is where I saw my first killer whale, which sparked my passion in terms of learning about marine life!

This is just a place I go with friends and families a lot, always such a good time. Also a great opportunity for me to ramble about how we're killing the planet to everybody I know. 

I love any beaches in Holland, they're all in Dutch so I don't know many of the names but the water is so nice there and there are lots of cafes on the beach that you can go too, as well as the small towns to walk around in.  When I visited I felt very comfortable and I could stay there forever! 

Botanical Beach is one of the nicest beaches in BC in my opinion. There is always a lot of wildlife around. It's a great place to see Starfish. 

This is the place where I came back from vacation on a cruise, and the fresh air and smell of Vancouver welcomed me back so well, despite the vacation is over. I also saw a super lazy otter here so that was pretty cool too.

Every summer, me and my family go to camp at Gibsons. We do alot of fun activities there, like high ropes, archery, hiking, rock climbing, etc. However, the highglight of my trip is always kayaking. It allows me to really enjoy nature up close. I find it very relaxing and therapeutic watching the wildlife and enjoying the scenery around me. Once I saw a seal just swimming around here which was super exciting. This is one of my favourite places to go in the summer! 

Hi, my name is Rain. I love Whistler Blackcomb year-round. Whether it's a ski trip between the two mountains or hiking around Alta Lake, it makes me feel connected with one of the beauties of British Columbia. I love it here and can't wait to be back during summer and ski season.

This beach is a big reason as to why I fell in love with nature especially the water for I grew up going here every week. I spend most of my day helping in cleaning up the shore, and swimming and exploring the whole area with my cousins. 

I've loved Lynn Canyon since the day my family and I discovered a beautiful swimming area at the foot of a small waterfall while we were on a hike. I had never been a fan of the sun, but I love the water. Everything shimmered and shone in the little swimming area, and you could climb up a little and walk over the rocks and let the water run over your feet. In my elementary-age eyes, it was magic. I've been asking my mom to bring me again ever since, haha! 

Hi, my name is Ruby! I love this beach in particular as I've made some of my fondest memories and best friends here. It's such a stunning place that embodies the beauty of nature, and there are amazing wildlife here.

This island near my home city has a great view of the ocean and is a getaway from the crowded city life. I enjoy visiting there with my friends and families during the holidays, making me feel connected to the ocean and my culture. 

I've been staying in Hornby island during the summer for the past four years and every time I'm blown away by the serene beaches and ocean life. It's at Hornby where I realized how much I wanted to work for the ocean, so much so that I signed up for Youth To Sea. The sprawling shores and tide lines are endless, and the tacos are to die for. Honestly, Hornby is the best island on the coats.

Nice and quiet beach. Very peaceful in the summer, good views of the water and hills.

On my 15 birthday, I went to the sea wall as the sun was coming up so I got to spend the first few hours of my birthday with the sea :)

I’m particularly fond of this area because I’ve had some great time with my friends here! I remember this time where we crossed the river by parkour on rocks... we all fell in, at least once!

I love coming here with my family,  it is a great place for a relaxing picnic on the rocks, scenery, exploring,  or a nice swim! 

This place will forever be my home :D

My family and I visited the California coast two summers ago, and it was amazing! I loved taking in all of the landscapes and beaches as well as the ocean animals. The coast always makes me feel connected to the outdoors, specifically the ocean. 

I went here for a little vacation last year in August and it is one of the best places ive ever been to in the world. Ive visited many gorgeous places like Japan, China and Yellowstone national park and the only place that even comes close to the Big Tree Trail near Tofino is Yellowknife. The short overgrown wooden trail felt so peaceful and quiet and it was amazing. There was also noone nearby as the trail is only accessible by kayak.

I'm Wilson and one of my favorite outdoor places to hike is the Grouse Grind Trail.  I'll always be reminded of the fun memories recreated with friends racing up the mountain over the summer.  The strenuous hike uphill is rewarded by the beautiful view of the forest/waters down below.
