Cassy & Marisa's camp: Day 3
Hi again Diving Dolphins & Predator parents!
Humpback Wednesday came with a splash today as we started it with a visit to the Treasures of the BC Coast. We ID'd some cool animals and got to say hello to Ceph (our friendly neighborhood octopus).
Then we got to see a Secret morning training session with Helen our Pacific White sided dolphin. She was more than happy to show off her splastastic moves.
After snack we played a camp-wide game called Survival and learned about food chains.
Next we did a squid dissection and learned about squid anatomy.
After our delicious lunches we went on a forest walk to Beaver Lake and played a game of Camouflage in the forest.
Questions to ask your camper:
- How do squid eat?
- What strategies might herbivores, omnivores or carnivores use to hunt for food, or to avoid being eaten?
