Hello everyone!
Hope everyone had an absolutely arrayzing day! We did! Here is a recap of what we did today.
We visited the tropics and drew some of our favourite animals. From lionfish, to garden eels, to Nemo & Dory and epaulette sharks!
After snack we played some fun parachute games!
We went on a fintastic beach walk. The tides were awesome and we found lots of sea stars, big red rock crabs, sea urchins, and lots of sea cucumbers!
After lunch, we went on a behind the scenes tour of the vet office and learned a lot about how our vet team take Xrays of some of our favourite animals. We even got to see some really cool Xrays, and see an ultrasound of a jellyfish.
We had some fun outside playing Otter Urchin Kelp, where we learned about this important food chain.
We ended off our day playing a camp wide game of Survival and learned about the relationships between herbivores, omnivores and carnivores.
Questions to ask your camper:
- What was the coolest thing you found at the beach? What are some fun facts about that organism?
- What survival techniques do herbivores/omnivores/carnivores use?
