Hello everyone!
Yet again we had another super arrayzing day at aquacamps!
We started off our day in the tropics gallery. Oliver, one of our leader's in blue came up with a scavenger hunt so we could learn about some of the cool animals on display in the tropics.
We also went to the Amazon gallery to learn about some of the fish in the Amazon River basin, and to Canaccord to look at our jellyfish and learn about how microplastics affect living animals and our oceans.
After snack, we went outside to play penguin ice hop and learn about the challenges that penguins face in their lives such as predators, and climate change.
We had a puppet, bubble dance party, then made shark headbands! Check out our group photo!
After lunch, we spent some time outside playing games like "Oh no! I'm poop!" an educational game about forest food chains.
We finished off our day with some wetlab exploration and got to check out some really cool animals.
Questions to ask your camper:
- How do microplastics affect animals living in the ocean, and how do we as humans end up being affected?
- What are the sea anemones doing when they "stick" to us when we touch their tentacles?
Tomorrow is water park day!
