Hello Sneaky Sea Urchins, Silly Sea Otters & Parents:
We had so much fun today at camp!
We went to the Treasures of the BC Coast gallery and drew our favourite habitat from coastal BC.
Next we went to a 4D movie called A Reef Reborn and learned about how protecting our reefs after severe overfishing can bring back the animals that once lived there.
We then made some jellyfish and got to tour our behind the scenes jelly hallway. We learned about some different types of jellyfish.
We played a game called Arctic Maze and learned how difficult it Is for animals like polar bears to walk on thin ice.
Rian's camp learned about stingray jaws and how they use their jaws to eat. Marisa's camp learned about squid beaks, and how they use their beak to eat.
After lunch, we went on a forest walk to Beaver Lake. While we were there we saw a frog, and got to feel a beaver pelt.
We came back and made a seahorse craft!
Questions for your camper:

- How do stingrays use their jaws and teeth to eat? How do squids use their beak to eat?
See you again tomorrow for another toad-ally amazing day!
