Seiji & Marisa's Camp: Day 1

Jul 30, 2019 at 10:04 AM by Marisa Yip

Hello!

We had a fintastic first day at Aquacamps!

We started off our day with Camp Intro and sang the Ocean Song.

Next we took a look at some of our jellyfish and poison frogs.

Then we went to see a 4D movie called "Splash & Bubbles."

After a quick snack, we made walrus crafts because we went to go see our walrus training session. We learned all about walruses, like what they use their tusks and whiskers for, and how we can conserve their environment.

After our delicious lunches, we went on a forest walk to Beaver Lake. We played a game of camouflage in the forest. We were lucky enough to see a Barred Owl on our way back!

Questions to ask your camper:

1. What do walruses use their tusks for, and why do the ones at the aquarium have metal caps on their tusks?

2. What kinds of animals call Beaver Lake home?

Sea you tomorrow!
