Overview

There is no doubt that many have been affected by these uncertain times as a result of the the Covid-19 virus. Across the country and the globe, schools and organizations are closed and people confined to their homes to reduce the spread. Above all, we are concerns for the health and well-being of the thousands of young people and adults who are part of our Award family across Canada.

For participants in these affected areas, this means that their Award progress has been delayed as many of the Award activities usually happen in or around the school or organization that is currently closed.

For the BC/YK Division, we have recognized that there are many ways that participants can continue their activities for the Skills, Service and Physical Recreation sections from their own homes to keep their Award progress on track and to stay connected during this critical time.

Join our Award Officer, Kevin Dobson, for a special webinar offering for our independent Award Participants. The webinar will address some key suggestions for creative ways to continue Award activities at home while practicing social distancing. Come ready with your questions and ideas as there will be an opportunity for an FAQ alongside other youth participants from across the region.
