Hi YELP Leaders!
Thanks for an awesome last day of our week of YELP!
What did we do today?
- The day began with a bus ride to Crab Park sharing never-can-tells, as always. Groups rotated between spending time at the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre (MMR) and time doing activities in the park.
- Activities in Crab Park included making "Thank You" Cards for guest speakers and special guests, working on our Social Media Projects, and reflecting on the many things we did and learned throughout our week.
- At MMR, both groups started with a tour. After the tour, the first group cleaned out the largest pool at the rescue centre, the Orca Pool. The second group got to see Bella Bella being moved into the squeaky clean Orca Pool and then they also got to scrub a pool on their own - the Rockfish Pool!
- What a hugely fin-tastic last day!
Questions to ask YELPers
- How many different marine mammal species are currently at MMR?
- What is the coolest thing you learned this week?
- How can you change your daily routine to help save our oceans?
- What are your squishies and pricklies for the day?
