Photo Scavenger Hunt | haileyrenaud |
The project is essentially a normal scavenger hunt, but we only take the photo of the object (nature-friendly). The teacher is going to give the student a list of objects (or clues) and the students are going to find the objects in the list. The game location is the nearest beach or waterway. Once the student has found an object, they will plot its location on a simple map which shows some basic features of the area --sandbars, large logs, tidepools etc. At the end of the game, a small prize may be offered. After completion, they will present and explanation of how the garbage that was collected effects/harms the animal, the ecosystem it lives in and eventually the ocean. To finished, the students will reflect about what they’ve learned and how they can work to reduce their impact. Oct 26th, 2018 Manage |
