6. Having a Lasting Impact
Description
Monitor
Monitoring your project throughout each stage will help you to respond to changes that occur along the way. The more specific your ‘indicator’ the easier it will be to evaluate your achievements.
Example: Objective: Eliminate single-use plastic in my community Date: October 5th, 2020 |
Possible Indicators of Success · The number of people who signed your petition to eliminate single-use plastic · Students in nearby communities are inspired by your project · Your friends get involved and support your efforts |
Evaluate Your Progress
Taking time to reflect on what you have learned throughout each stage of your action project is an esential part of ensuring that your efforts have a lasting impact.
- What was the spark that helped you move from inspiration to action?
- What were you most useful resources?
- How did you keep your team motivated?
- What skills have you deveoped by taking action?
- Who did you reach in the process of implementing your project?
- What were your obstacle and how did you overcome them?
- What outcome are you most proud of?
- What are your recommendations for other youth who try to undertake a smilar action or are working on similar issues?
