Goal Setting
You will go through two goal setting exercises with your Direct Action coach: one at the beginning of your placement, and one at the end.
We all know that setting goals is important as we move through life. Setting goals helps to shape new behaviours, guide your focus and sustain momentum toward where you want to go. Goals also help to align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can’t manage what you don’t measure and you can’t improve upon something that you don’t properly manage. Setting goals can help you do all of that!
Keeping a Placement Diary
A placement diary is where you should list any observations, completed work, feedback, etc. The diary entry doesn’t need to be long and it’s best to do it daily while the information is still fresh in your mind. Completing the diary will genuinely help you to make the most of your placement and enable you to reflect on the experience when setting future goals.
