A Porphyry Island Poem

Environment   Aug 5, 2020 by Simon Boudreault

Hello everyone!

A few nights ago I spent some time on the tip of Porphyry Island around 10:30-11:00PM with my notebook, and I could see light from the moon as much as from the sun. In the distance, a lighthouse regularly blinked its light, while our own lighthouse was doing the same right behind me. Therefore, I decided to write a little poem about these pretty unique lighting conditions. So here it is!

Four lights for a poem

-

On my left the moon is bright

For it is already night

-

The sun still shines on my right

Many colors glow his light

-

In front I can see a sign

Helping boats that might be blind

-

Our lighthouse is behind

Keeping ships on a straight line

-

Now my paper these lights find

Leaving these few rhymes behind
