Canadian Network for Ocean Education (CaNOE) Educating for Sustainable Seas: Diving into the Ocean Decade
We are excited to be hosting a virtual conference this summer featuring a variety of online presentations, including keynote speakers, webinars, workshops, and panel discussions, that will help us learn and plan for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021 – 2030).
The Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators and the Canadian Network for Ocean Education invite educators, researchers, students, and resource professionals from the Pacific Northwest and across Canada to meet, learn, share, and socialize at the 2021 NAME/CaNOE virtual summer conference, which will be held online August 17-20, 2021.
Virtual conference sessions, networking opportunities, and social activities will be spread across four consecutive weekdays from Tuesday, August 17, through Friday, August 20. We will make every effort to accommodate those in different time zones across the US and Canada and hope that all attendees will find plenty of ways to participate!
Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators (NAME) is a dynamic organization of professionals dedicated to sharing the world of water and using the allure of marine and freshwater places to excite audiences about learning.
The Canadian Network for Ocean Education (CaNOE) is a registered society created in 2014 to advance ocean literacy in Canada by connecting individuals, organizations, and stakeholder groups across diverse communities.
