In just moving to Vancouver Island, to the lovely town of Parksville, I decided to do some exploring while I waited for my placement to begin! Here is a picture of Landslide lake, most beautiful hike found lots of really cool fungi I have never seen before and stunning flora! Spent some much needed time swimming in the lake - yes it was cold - but I grew up swimming in cold lakes and have learned to be comfortable and breathe through it! Can't wait to get out and do some more adventures feeling very thankful to be here and have this opportunity :)
