About Me

I was born in Toronto, but grew up in a small town outside of London, Ontario. From there I went to the University of Waterloo where I studied International Development (BEs.) and Geography. I spent my final two terms working with a small NGO in rural Botswana. Side note: If you ever have the chance to visit Botswana, take it! It is the most beautiful country, with the friendliest people and more wildlife than you could ever imagine.

Growing up I split my summers between summer camps and my Grandparent’s cottage on the shores of Lake Huron, and I believe that this is where I truly developed a love for everything outdoors. In my free time I enjoy hiking, playing sports and cooking/baking. I also have a passion for travel, and have been lucky enough to travel to around thirty countries so far. People always ask me what some of my favourites are, which is a hard question to answer, but if I had to choose my top three they would be Botswana, Indonesia and New Zealand.

I am looking forward to the work I will be doing this summer with Eco Superior and CLLS this summer, through the Ocean Bridge Direct Action programs, and can’t wait to explore Porphyry Island.
