About Me

I'm Isabel, a water and nature lover from Toronto. I'm often found scuba diving, swimming, hiking, or telling my friends strange facts about sea slugs or the mola mola. My background is in marine biology, but I have always had an interest in environmental science and philosophy. I've spent my time working as a diving and marine biology instructor for teens, and love to engage those around me in meaningful conversation about nature and environmental protection.

I've spent the last years mostly away from home to live near the ocean in Halifax, and more recently I've been in New Zealand hiking the 3000 km Te Araroa trail. Now however, I'm incredibly excited to return to Toronto and contribute to the local water conservation effort, so I can support the wonderful lakes that inspired me so much when I was growing up.
