About Me

Hello! My name is Samantha Arevalo and I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology. In the past few summers, I've taken on various wildlife opportunities such as rehabilitating mammal species in Ontario, protecting species at risk reptiles through field research and even working in a lab to understand hybrid fish genetics.

I love spending most of my free time outdoors through activities such as canoeing, exploring new trails and camping. I also enjoy attending dance classes, bouldering and cooking with friends and family. Due to the pandemic, my hobbies have been limited. Instead, I’ve been keeping in contact with friends and family by sharing art pieces, sending food, planning online movie nights or playing online games together. Looking forward to getting to know the Ocean Bridge Direct Action team and spending quality (virtual) time with you!
