oh the great outdoors
With my placement being virtual and not being able to get out in the field or engage in person, it has been really important for me to make time to get outdoors whenever possible. Having recently moved to Vancouver Island, the opportunity for exploring is endless. I find exploring the varied landscapes and ecosystems around me from mountain tops to coastal shores and everything in between, helps to build and deepen my connection to place. This has in turn, inspired my work I continue to do in my placement. Taking time to interact with nature also helps me clear my head and gain new perspectives and ideas.
