On Halloween we were able to go and check out a report of a Killer whale that was up in Tuck Inlet, just north of the Prince Rupert Harbour. Though it was very rainy, and the winds were supposed to pick up later that day, we were able to locate the lone transient known as T0077A. Going out on the water has been a rare occurrence in Prince Rupert since we are going into the winter months and the winds are stronger. If you are out on the water, or near the coast and you do see a cetacean don't forget to report it to the Whale Report App as it helps with citizen science efforts along with further research on species distribution along the British Columbia coast.
