Skeena River eulachon returns to the fresh water to spawn near the end of winter. Sometimes referred to as the saviour fish, eulachon brings an abundance of life with them as they return to their natal rivers. Sealions, seals, gulls, eagles, and Indigenous people feast and celebrate upon their arrival.
