Module 1: Welcome and Community Building

Hello and Welcome to Ocean Bridge, we are so excited to support you in your journey!
To accommodate the largest number of participants, we will be hosting this session twice on Tuesday, May 18th 4:00pm-5:00pm EST or Thursday, May 20th 4:00pm-5:00pm PST. Please note, YOU DO NOT have to come to both sessions (although you are invited to if you want). Please pick the session that works best for you and your schedule.
The goal for these sessions is to welcome you to the program and offer you the opportunity to get to know your fellow cohort members. During the sessions we will explore the Ocean Bridge Program, the expectations for Ocean Bridge Ambassadors (that’s you) and how the Ocean Bridge team will be supporting you on your journey, and engage in some community building activities.
All National Dialogues are hosted on MS Teams. To access this meeting, you can use the link below or access it directly through your team's calendar.
National Dialogues are designed to provide you with opportunities to explore topics about marine and freshwater conservation, connect and learn from experts, traditional knowledge keepers and Indigenous Elders within the field. Through intentional conversations, we hope that the National Dialogue series will deepen your understanding in Ocean Literacy and equip you with the essential skills that will inspire and be applicable to your service projects.
This first National Dialogue will take place in English, with the option for you to listen to a live French translation. A French recording of the introduction to Ocean Bridge will also be available here following the session. Throughout the year, Dialogues will be presented in either French or English and live translations will be provided for folks who wish to listen in their preferred language.

- Understand your responsibilities and commitments to the Ocean Bridge program.
- Meet other Ocean Bridger Ambassadors in the 2021-2022 cohort
