A summer spent spotting bison at Elk Island
This summer I had the opportunity to work as the Elk Island Parkbus Ambassador for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Northern Chapter. My weekends were spent touring Edmontonians around the national park, sharing the story of bison conservation in Alberta, and spreading awareness of CPAWS campaigns and initiatives. Through this work, I collected over 200 signatures to support the protection of Big Horn Backcountry as a Provincial Parks, with hopes to preserve the headwaters of the North Saskatchewan River. I am already missing having this beautiful wild space as my office!
