Educating Albertans about Wilderness Conservation
I am so grateful to have started a new position at the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society - Northern Alberta Chapter. I work as their Conservation Outreach Coordinator, overseeing all outreach efforts and messaging. Our biggest focus right now is caribou conservation. We have been working with government bodies and Indigenous communities to support caribou population monitoring while providing recommendations for habitat range plans. Our caribou mascot at CPAWS is named "Bou", and we are hoping to encourage Albertans to "caribout" caribou!
