Sunrise Over The Intertidal

One of the things I miss most about being able to go outside is being on or near the ocean. This image was taken at 6:30 am summer 2018 - we had left the field station at 5:30 in order to make it to this site by low tide. Not pictured here are two members of our team surveying the rocks for algae. I wish it was sustainable to bring everyone to these ecosystems - of course, part of their beauty is a result of their remoteness from humans. I hope to be able to education people about this amazing ecosystem again soon.
