Kayaked out to a small island in Indian Arm (near Vancouver) to camp for the night. On the way out the ocean was calm, and many people advise of whale sightings within the past hour (more inshore then normal due to reduced activity from COVID). On the way back the water was rough and we had to make stops at the coast to let it settle down. It was a good reminder the Ocean is like an animal; it can behave unexpected and can be dangerous if not respected.
