This year's theme is "Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean." This photo was taken during my stay in Chira Island, Costa Rica in 2018. The island relies heavily on marine resources. Artistan fishing is practiced, which is low-cost and done near the shore, mostly for local consumption. This is contrary to commercial fishing which is expensive and excessive.
