Arguing from a human rights perspective, the webinar first illustrated how human rights data can help identify challenges and opportunities when states implement SDG target 14.b on access of small-scale artisanal fishers to marine resources and markets, including the commitment by states to leave no one behind. Next, the webinar discussed challenges and opportunities in implementing SDG target 14.b with examples from the North and the South. #SDG14b This webinar was live streamed on June 2nd as part of the series 'Small is Bountiful' in celebration of World Oceans Day 2020. The webinar series was organized by the project I am part of, the Ocean Frontier Institute, and its partner Too Big To Ignore Global Partnership for Small-Scale Fisheries Research.
