About Me

My name is Benjamin Aubé and I'm the bilingual Ottawa-based communications coordinator for Ocean Bridge. I've spent the better part of the past decade working as a journalist and newspaper editor in newsrooms in northeastern Ontario, including with the Timmins Daily Press, and as a multimedia reporter with CBC Sudbury, covering political, environmental and human interest stories on local, provincial and national levels. But the plight of our Earth's environment and oceans has steered me towards this path. My job is to share your story. It's to help others across our country feel what you feel through social media and by using my experience in the world of media to spread your work, message and passion. I'm always inspired by what we can and will accomplish together!

Mon nom est Benjamin Aubé, et je suis le coordonnateur bilingue des communications pour Portail Océan, basé à Ottawa. J'ai passé la majeure partie de la dernière décennie à travailler dans des salles de nouvelles dans le nord-est de l’Ontario. Avant de me joindre à l’équipe de Portail Océan, j'étais journaliste multi-plateforme avec Radio-Canada, et ensuite CBC, à Sudbury, en Ontario. Mon travail comportait la couverture d’histoires politiques, environnementales et à résonance humaine. Mais la situation périlleuse de nos océans a forcé ce nouveau cheminement dans ma carrière. Mon boulot est de partager votre histoire et d’utiliser des outils comme les réseaux sociaux, ainsi que mes connections dans le monde médiatique, pour propager vos voix, votre mission et votre passion. J'ai hâte et je suis inspiré par tout ce qu'on pourra accomplir ensemble!
