About Me
Name: Nima Mostaghimi
Location:
I was born in Toronto, ON, which is the Ancestral Traditional Territory of the Anishinaabe people. My parents, Amir and Maryam, emigrated from Iran during the Iranian revolution in the 70’s. Today I live on the Ancestral Traditional Territory of the Coast Salish people in Vancouver, BC.
What gets me up in the morning:
The opportunity to spend time moving through outdoor landscapes learning about myself and the environment I’m in.
A bit about me:
Ontario is my first home; I grew up exploring the lakes and rivers by paddle. When I moved to Vancouver this passion for water drew its attention to the ocean. I currently work as the Program Manager for Ocean Ambassadors Canada. OAC a not-for-profit organization that is turning the tide on marine pollution by engaging people in on-the-water activities paired with ocean stewardship education. We empower all our students to make real change at home, at school and in their community.
